I research energy related materials simulating them using first-principle theory and machine learning.

What's one piece of advice you wish you could've told your younger self?

The advice for my younger self is about how to deal with the negative emotions that arise during the research life. Maybe more than 70% of the time, the hard works we put into our research will not give us immediate success, which creates uncertainty, frustration, and disappointment in our life as a researcher.
If I had the chance to talk to my younger self, I would advise her to sit with these bad feelings, accept them, and never lose the faith in her research. All your efforts will be paid off with those 10% exciting results at the very end, that's one of the magic things about doing research.
