Tina Potter

I am a member of the ATLAS Collaboration, which is an experiment at the Large Hadron Collider. There's a huge wealth of physics coming from the LHC experiments, but my work in particular is looking for rare deviations in the data compared to what we expected. I hope such rare deviations will be the smoking gun signal of Dark Matter and open up a new understanding of our universe.

What's one piece of advice you wish you could've told your younger self?

That I really must push myself outside my comfort zone. As life goes on, I've gained perspective on many things I would have previously considered daunting/out of my reach. I’ve seen what I’m capable of and I’m more ready to push outside my comfort zone (if I even have one anymore!).
