IS MEMBERSHIP OF CIW LIMITED TO WOMEN?
We absolutely invite anyone, irrespective of gender, to attend events and be involved in organising! However, we ask you to be respectful of everyone.
HOW CAN I GET INVOLVED WITH CIW?
There are a number of ways you can get involved, although most of our time is spent organising events that are of interest to the community. We are always looking to add new members to our committee, so please drop us an email at cavendishiw@gmail.com or reach out on our social media channels.
HOW CAN I BE AN ALLY TO WOMEN IN STEM?
There is no straightforward answer, however there are a number of actions you could take which include speaking up when you see harassment/discrimination, being aware of unconscious bias and sponsoring and mentoring women. There is an article around this topic if you would like to read more.
WHAT IS THE UNIVERSITY'S STAND ON PREVENTING SEXUAL HARRASSMENT AND MISCONDUCT?
There is no place for any form of harassment or sexual misconduct at the University of Cambridge.
